Sports and Beer- A perfect match

Posted by admin on Aug 29, 2012 2:07:00 PM

One of history’s best known matches is that of Beer and Sports, while several tried and true factors make up the perfect sports bar: Big screens. Good food. Reasonable Prices. A large assortment of beers. Late hours. A place to shout and whoop loudly (or moan in despair), or even jump out of your seat, dripping beer all over the table as you do so. Great specials.

With this criteria in mind, the Loyalblocks team has compiled a handy list of sports bars that will make sports fans and Blocksters leap into the air and high-five their neighbour (even if they are rooting for the wrong team). The largest is Tonic West (Times Square) or East (Murray Hill), where you can watch the game on humongous screens (or even on a rooftop) and enjoy a free draft beer with your meal. If you’re in Hell’s Kitchen, Mercury West is a fine option (perhaps after a bite at Breeze or La Carafe). However if, like us, you refuse to watch the match unless there is 80s music blaring in the background and a spot to dance at half-time, we suggest you pop into Joshua tree .
