Aly's Apples is a family owned gourmet caramel apple store based in Houston, Texas. After their daughter Aly was born, owners Shane and Megan Deason realized they wanted to work in a more flexible environment so they could prioritize their family. Shane used to enjoy special treats from his parent as a kid, and decided to create a gourmet version of caramel apples to sell on an eCommerce website and at retail kiosks at local malls. Aly's Apples makes over 30 different flavors, which are covered in home made caramel and a variety of other toppings. They've also branched out into other delicious goodies, like their chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels. They're always experimenting and bringing out new combinations and products - this week they've just launched new apples (Almond Explosion, Java Crunch with Starbucks Espresso Beans, Mega Nutty, M&M Apple, and Reese’s Pieces Apple) and new pretzels (Dark Chocolate & Granny’s Apple Pie Pretzel Rods).

Customer Loyalty

Shane knows how important loyal customers are to his business. He depends on word of mouth recommendations and returning customers to keep Aly's Apples going.

"Without our loyal customers it would be hard to make it work. Our loyal customers share our message time and time again. They promote us to their friends, family and co-workers. This helps us to continue growing and enables us to evolve our product offering in order to keep attracting new customers."

With the emphasis that Shane places on customer service and relations, Aly's Apples is succeeding in building up a loyal following. Shane says that kids come back to the mall over and again to get their Aly's Apple, and their passion is contagious. Shane says it "makes our day to know we brighten someones life even for just a few minutes." Aly's Apples have even provided wedding favors, and judging by the reviews, they were an amazing hit. It's just another great way to spread the word and the love for Aly's Apples.

With an approach like that, Aly's Apples and LoyalBlocks are the perfect partners. We agree with Shane that loyal customers are one of the best ways to grow your business, and we aim to help those customers spread the word. Aly's Apples uses some of our more traditional tokens - the Welcome Token and punch card. For the Welcome Token Aly's Apples offers 25% off an apple, which is a great way to encourage people to try their first apple. Of course, with treats that taste as good as these, once you've tried one you're definitely coming back for more! Customers who finish their punch card will get a free small apple - again, a great incentive to keep people coming back.

As well as the traditional offerings Shane has also set up some of our Facebook Token options, using LoyalBlocks to help promote Aly's Apples on social networks. Customers who share their visit to Aly's Apples on Facebook are entitles to a free pretzel package when they buy an apple. Those who invite their Facebook friends to join Aly's Apples loyalty club can claim $2 off a $10 purchase - that's a 20% discount. These are some great ways to integrate LoyalBlocks into Aly's Apples overall social media strategy - their Facebook page and Twitter account are busy sharing news, deals, and chatting to customers. Shane says:

In a month, Aly's Apples already has over 100 members in their LoyalBlocks club, and it's growing at a great rate. They've also already had someone finish a punch card - we're very jealous of whoever has been able to have 10 of these amazing apples in a month!
