El Jalisco is a chain of Mexican restaurants based in Florida. But El Jalisco has its roots in Mexico itself, after being dreamed up and created by Jesus Carranza and named after his home town of Jalisco. After working as a dishwasher at a restaurant in Panama City, Jesus was convinced by his nephew that he should open his own restaurant, which he did shortly after. Only 13 months later, Jesus was able to open a second location, and spread the good food and strong family feeling to more people. As the business grew, these became the key traits that each location was built around - each location has a small staff run by close friends and family members, and prides itself on the use of fresh ingredients and original Mexican recipes.

El Jalisco's loyalty club has exploded since they set it up just a month ago. They've already got over 400 members and have given away 83 free queso's! They've already had a punch card completed (that's a lot of food!), and have over 25 awesome reviews. They're loving the LoyalBlocks app so far, and told us, "Loyalblocks doesn't just have a loyalty program. They understand how to build loyal customers from the ground up. Their support has been great, and they feel like a part of our team when helping educate, build, and fortify the new marketing tool kit that Loyalblocks provides us!"
El Jalisco is a great place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. They've also written a really interesting, informative, and fun blog post about the story - as told by one of their founders. The whole El Jalisco family gathered together in each of their stores over the last few weeks to explain the history and significance of Cinco de Mayo to their staff. After talking about the history, they started planning how to celebrate this year - and they've come up with a great lineup! Why not head down to El Jalisco tonight and hear the story for yourself?
