Director of Business Development 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Target, prospect, develop, and strengthen partnerships with other organizations that enable us to scale our business.
  • Initiate, negotiate terms, and maintain the comprehensive partnerships and contractual agreement process.
  • Manage third party channel revenue stream.
  • Ensure objectives are met through careful analysis in accordance with pre-determined partnerships criteria.
  • Develop, monitor and communicate metrics and milestones associated with partnerships and perform business metrics reviews and analysis of performance against company's objectives.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Identify and attend conferences, meetings, and industry events as a flok spokesperson and decision maker.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, sales displays, proposals, and quotes.
  • Contact partners to inform them about new developments with the company’s products.
  • Work with marketing, communications, product, sales & account teams to stay up-to-date on product features, performance, and messaging.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive and hands-on experience driving business development through creating partnerships
  • Experience working in tech
  • Strategic thinker able to see and communicate the big picture in an inspiring way
  • Ability to collaborate and self-organize to prioritize time
  • Excellent people skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience creating and negotiating complex, targeted and customized proposals
  • Strong analytical skills and business judgment
  • History of working successfully in a fast-paced environment

Director of Marketing Communications

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as brand steward and chief public spokesperson for flok, ensuring that all flok communications effectively and consistently articulate our values and voice.
  • Develop and execute our press & communications strategy.
  • Conceptualize, write, oversee production of all print and marketing communications, including marketing materials, sales collateral, press releases and thought leadership pieces.
  • Identify and execute creative new marketing approaches that are cost-effective and high impact.
  • Develop media relations and identify new opportunities for media coverage.
  • Manage any PR agency and media sponsor relationships, including those in connection with special events.
  • Own top-level media contacts and develop corporate-wide stories to seek high-impact business press coverage and features.
  • Act as a key company ambassador to build and foster relationships with press, bloggers, and other influencers.
  • Collaborate with various teams within flok including marketing, business development, and product to identify newsworthy stories across the organization.
  • Conduct quarterly reporting and metrics to quantify PR performance.
  • Identify and manage speaking opportunities at industry events and conferences.
  • Monitor high visibility and business-building awards programs and manage company entries.
  • Monitor industry news calendars, as well as market-related news and events, to assess proactive opportunities for media outreach.
  • Explore and execute trade media opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4-7 years of communications experience.
  • Experience working for digital start-ups.
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to shape and tell compelling stories, as well as a strong aptitude for visual presentation.
  • Experience with web-based communications and marketing strategies, including social media, SEO, and digital advertising.
  • A track record of success that demonstrates creative and strategic thinking, strong project management skills and timely execution.
  • Experience pitching stories to broadcast, digital and print reporters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
